Mexico adventure, last day. But greater things have yet to come!

Olá! Buenos tardes todos! Como es das? Now its our last day here in lovely Mexico (Mechico). Just the though of that makes me a little bit sad, yes actually. We're leaving our family. We've stayed here for 3 weeks, but it feels so much longer. The time runs by, like an ourglass. We have experiences SO much. People-meetings, God-meetings and culture-meetings. Next stop is Ecuador for another 3 weeks. Im of couse looking forward to that, but mixed feelings now. Im gonna try explain some of the days here, cause they have been really extreme! 4. of april we went to Oaxaca. We spend around 24 ours in the van, fullpacked of baggage and a lot more people than it allows-and that the space allows. So i spend 5 early ours on the floor in a half meter.. Back in the car it was soo hot without aircondition, could hardly breath. Like we were laying the cm right under ecvator or something. And if that was'nt enough, i trhow up two times in a thin plasticbag, with 20 people around. Outreach.. On the way, we stopped on a beach in Vera Cruez. A beautiful place, nature that reminded me of South- Africa. We had a freeday there, and went swimming and jumping in the waves :D We also went on a crocodille-safari, and I hold a little one, and a turtle. This was the tourist-part of the outreach. In the night we slept at some of the people that went with us. A married couple with their grandson and a women that had just moved to Oaxaca to take care of her dying grandma or something. The communicatioan was hard with only 2 translators in the van, not in reach every single minute. But our driver & co were really patient and kind to us, drow with us that long way. Only to let us go to the radio and make a sending to the people in Oaxaca and around. So we where in the radio for a few our, sharing testimonies and sang the norwegian blessing-song on air. Cool. The first night in Santos Reyes Tepejitlos (Oaxaca)i was sick in bed when the others went to service. I joined the service next day, and we participated with speach, singing and praying for people that came up. And many got healed, just like that. God is great! In the night tree of us girls actually sat in the street outside the sleepinghouse, eating nightfood and writing our journals. We felt soo safe! Not like Mexico usually, and a policecar was striking us filles with 4 cops with guns waving and smiling to us. Good to have people to keep the little city safe. The next day we went to the police-office and the government and other places like that, introducing ourselves and told what we were doing there. They seemed very glad for us staying there and bringing good atmosphere to the village. 10. of april we were "home" again, but left for Mexico city for evangelising and interview to some tv-channel that covers the whole of Latin- America ++. We were together with the Africa-team, and divided in groups of 3+ 1 translator. Our team prayed for where to go, and I got this picture of a waterfont. So we went there and found a boy on the bench. We went to talk to him, and stayed for a few ours. This boy was really a pointing from God. He had been involved in many spiritual things (you dont hear those stories in Norway), but accepted Jesus before we had to go. We got the chance to pray for him, wich was veery important. I got a picture of him when we prayed, and it fitted together with a dream he dreamt the day before. This was a total crazy day. After the talk I was throwed into an interview cause of this, so we told about Gods great work. Later that day I got the chance to go to prison with 7 other from the two outreach-teams. Our Fanie go there every wedensday to preach for them and just share Gods love. It was a great great opportunity. In the start I was a little nervous. What to expect? But after some testimony-sharing and 50 bow/kneel-down 14-18 years old (little) boys, I totally was touched. We also worshipped with them, and divided in groups of talking and we got to share our tesitmomies too. And they cried. The day after, in cooperation with ywam Mexico city we were to evangelise in the street with giving free hugs. First I didnt like the idea, so happy-clappy and weird. But it turned out to work very well. It would'nt have in Europe. But people here, their open. I think we made the day of many people, with sharing Gods love. People asked why we were hugging (of couse, I would too), and we got a lot of good conversations. And of couse, we have been to a fiesta. One mas. They like these things. And again, filled with a looot of Mexican food of all kinds(?); tortillas, guacamole, steaked vegetables and meat like chicken ++. We played games like in the childhood, with the children and hit the pináta. And I were the lucky one to smash it with eyes opened. And the pináta is actually from Italia, not Mexico. And it symbolice the catholic church in a way with obsticles as ears.. Yeah, some stuff. We didnt know which this was and who has invited us, so we were kind of lost in space. But at first we met two eager christian older men that willingly shared their testimonies and rejoiced for God. Thats cool. And we did the dancing, with the cool swinging-skirt. We have also been in the park nearby and evangelising, reading our bible, talking to people, did prayerwalk and playing with kids. Some of the people we have met earlier in the park and on the street when performing the Everything-drama have come to our church. And even some people that heard us singing "blessed-the-food-song" outside a restaurant come to the church cause of that, and we were also inviting home to them. What a people! And were gonna leave THIS! Yesterday I participated in the english-class that the 9month old church is giving, with teaching "He god the whole world in His hand" song. They were really good. And after we just followed Mexican time as always, that included food, many people and socialicing the rest of the evening. At the later evening it was only us in the team, keeping the bonfire alive with gathering around with marshallows, chocolate and biscuits- like a sandwich. Mmm.. Today I had the preaching in the church. And I was talking about The potensial of the body. That we all are responsible, and have to cooperate and encourage eachother in teamwork, unity and love from Jesus the head to keep the body well to go out and make disciples (beeing a role model). It was'nt so scary, but as always the time goes faster than while preparing and exercising. I hope you enjoy to reed my blog, and will continue to do that. I experience a lot, and I wish i could tell about EVERYTHING. And I really wished that I could put in pictures, but on these 1995-internetcafe-computers it would take a lifetime. But: Asta la vego! Keep praying for us, for the team and for next: Ecuadors people! GRACIAS MUCHO! Much Love<3

MEXICO!!

The warm breeze strikes me down the face. The spicy-smelling food and all the colors of the rainbow hits me as I walk out of the yard. We're living in Maranata church, state of Mexico. Not Mexico city with 19 states/areas but north-west for the "epicenter". We're kind of pioneering christian foundation and evangelising here, and its soo good! The Mexicans are so open and hospitality is 1.pri for them. If you say you like something, you will have it in your hand 3 seconds later- literally. The youths in the church here, the pastor and "the sisters" are really Gods family, and now ours. For Mexicans there is no such things called "personal space"- we've been warned and noticed. I think I'm a bit Mexican. We have done the Everything drama, well known for some of you, and well effective on the people. It really shows Gods (Jesus, most important here for the major catholic influence)caracter and love for us sinners. We also talk to people, and have had the amazing opportunity to pray for some. For their family and sickness etc. Today we are going to an jungel-ish village, where we're gonna meet a people that do not know english or spanish. So that will be interesting, and an adventure! Looking so forward to the rest of this out reach here. With the best team ever! Yesterday we were in Mexico city and visited the Africa-team (from our DTS)and came luckily safe back home in the middle of the night in these dark and left-alone streets. "Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, You are with me"! I hope you will continue to visit my blog, and i will try to update when possible. Ane pictures come later. Pray for us, and follow us:) God bless you all!

3 days left
